Are my reviews anonymous?
Yes, your reviews are completely anonymous. No identifying information is ever published on our website. We only link reviews to your account in the backend so you can edit them if you so wish.
Can I edit my review after submitting it?
Yes, you can edit the written portion of your review up to 7 days after submission or until a response has been added.
How can I edit my review?
After logging in, click 'Account' in the top right corner of the screen (or tap the menu icon if you're on mobile). Navigate to 'Reviews', where you'll find an edit button below each.
I didn't receive my sign-in email. What should I do?
Please check your spam or junk folder first. If you still can't find the email, contact us at info@seareviews.com and we'll help resolve the issue.
How do I delete my account?
Once logged in, click 'Account' in the top right corner, then navigate to 'Settings' and select 'Delete Account'. Please note that this action is permanent and cannot be undone. Your reviews will remain in the system but be permanently unlinked from your account. For manangement users, please email us at info@seareviews.com to delete your account.
How does the review verification process work?
Our verification process ensures review authenticity by confirming that reviewers actually worked on the yacht they're reviewing. Here's how it works:
1. Submit your review: All reviews start as unverified and are immediately published with a red unverified label.
2. Upload verification documents: After submitting your review, click the "Verify" button in the Reviews section of your Account page. Upload a photo of the relevant page from your discharge book that shows you worked on that specific yacht.
3. Manual review: Our team manually reviews your discharge book document to confirm your employment on the yacht. During this stage, below your review, you will see a pending state shown.
4. Verification complete: If successful, your review will display a green "✓ Verified" label and will count towards the yacht's overall rating. If unsuccessful, you will see a rejected state below your review in the Account section. Publically, it will continue to show the "unverified" label.
I'm a part of the yacht's managment team and would like to respond to reviews, how can I do this?
Yacht management can create a free account to respond to reviews and provide context. Here's how:
1. Create an account: First, create a SeaReviews account using your yacht's official work email address. Important: Do not leave any reviews using this account or they will be deleted before you receive admin rights.
2. Request management access: After creating your account, email us at info@seareviews.com from the same email you signed up with to recieve admin rights. Please ensure your email has an official signature including your role and yacht details. We may also request additional information in order to verify your position onboard. Once done, we'll link your account to your yacht.
3. Start responding: Once verified, log in and click "Account" in top right of the screen (if on mobile, click the menu). From the Account section you will see all the Reviews for your yacht. Below each review you'll see a "Respond to Review" button. Your responses appear publicly below each review and can be edited for up to 7 days.

What information is included in my review?
Your published review includes an average star rating (0-5) calculated from the individual category ratings you provide, your written comments, and the date the review was posted. Your personal information is never displayed.
What if the yacht I worked on isn't listed?
If you can't find a yacht you worked on, please email us at info@seareviews.com with the vessel name, length, type (motor/sail) and shipyard that built the yacht. We'll add it to our database as soon as possible.
